UPPERVILLE HORSE SHOW - JUNE 7, 2009!!
Results from the UPPERVILLE Horse Show and the Irish Classes will be coming soon!!! In the meantime, here is a teaser for you... Grogan's HI FIDELITY not only won his strong 15-horse class, but he returned for the Sporthorse Championship and TOOK IT HOME! ENDANGERED EQUINE FESTIVALE
Kentucky Horse Park, September 2008
A great show for Blackberry Ridge Farm with unsupassed results. This show was specifically designed to showcase endangered equine species and included a remarkably diverse group of horse breeds. Among the horses showcased were the Irish Draught. Classes were designed specifically to focus on traditional charateristics of the breed and to educate the public on those breed characteristics including describing what the judges were looking at and how/why they were making their selections for placement in the classes. 1st place - RID Mare class (class included some very reputable and one unbeaten RID mare)
Overall RID Champion!

HARKAWAY LIONHAWK RID

TIED for 1st place - RID Stallion class (tied with Foxglen Himself, senior stallion. Judge Heather Chaplain was unable and unwilling to break the tie as she said these two stallions represented an excellent senior stallion in the case of Foxglen and and excellent young stallion in Hawk! Both stallion owners elected not to compete against each other in the Championship)
