PROFILE
Grogan's High Fidelity (HiFi), is by Snowford Bellman, RID out of Reilly's Fianna RIDSH (deceased) by First Class, Old. HiFi was presented for inspection in 2005 when he earned the highest marks awarded to any stallion on that inspection tour. He particularly impressed with his impeccable confirmation, effortless movement and mighty jumping talent. He went on to win Partbred Three Year Old and Reserve Champion Partbred. Since then HiFi has continued his "basic training" while being allowed to further fill out and mature. The result is a sound and tractable stallion who is prepared to head straight into formal training this fall.
HiFi's first foal was born at Blackberry Ridge Farm and is a replica of her father from the shiny penny chestnut coat to the four white stockings: Tully Mac's Gold Bug. Gold Bug attended the 2007 National Irish Draught Show at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Il. topping the Partbred Dressage Prospect Class for Foals to Three Year Olds, boasting the second highest dressage score of the day (73.0), topped only by Canadian Pan American Games athlete Tom Dvorak on an RID stallion (74.0)! (Gold Bug demands a rematch.)
This first foal is an indication of HiFi's potency as a sire representing superior Irish Draught lines on his sire's side and superior performance lines on his dam's. Snowford Bellman inarguably stamps his stock by passing on and even improving his own genetics via movement, strength, jumping talent and traditional Irish Draught temperament, particularly in fathering stallions who do the same. HiFi's dam's Reilly's Fianna (Fee) remains arguably the most talented jumping RIDSH mare ever bred. |
Reilley's Fianna (RIDSH)
Until her untimely death, Fee demonstrated a freakish sixth sense and a willingness to clear any fence she was put to. While Fee was never able to realize her immeasurable jumping potential it is our hope HiFi, her only descendant, will do her proud in his career. Fee represents some of the finest Oldenburg lines: First Class by the prolific stallion Furioso II out of the legendary broodmare, Chinchilla. Other notable sires from the Furioso II line include Frohwind (Furioso II ex. Windstille) currently ranked 24th by the USEF for Dressage Sires and Voltaire (Furioso II ex. Gogo Moeve) currently ranked 34th by the USEF for Dressage Sires, 35th for Jumper Sires and 8th for Hunter Sires.
As both athlete and sire, HiFi appeals to even the most traditional Irish Draught breeder while his dynamic athleticism and desperate-to-please attitude promise to make him a must-have for both the performance and pleasure horse breeder. We anticipate a long and exciting career from HiFi as well as the beginnings of another legacy. |
